Broken Clavicle

At just 3 days old Grady had a doctor appointment to see how his bilirubin was doing and it was still a little elevated. I told the doctor how the labor went and asked her about the popping sound that we still keep hearing. She felt his shoulders and collar bones and said she thought it was broken. We were sent to xray right away and discovered a very broken clavicle. She gave us a wrap and explained how she is working on having a cast patented for this type of break for infants and asked if we wanted to try it. I said yes, so she said she would have her seamstress start making it. 

We returned two days later for a second bilirubin test which he past! His doctor also had the cast shirt and apologized that it wasn't 100% finished but they were rushing so he could have something. It was too big on him so she recorded herself making notes on what to fix. at this appointment jsut two days after the last one he weighed 9.2 lbs

That night I got a phone call from the doctor saying that her seamstress started right away and would have a better fitting one ready the next afternoon. So on Thursday we went and picked it up, it fit way better and we could tell he was much more comfortable in it.
